Immersive HUD, also known as iHUD, is an interface mod by Gopher, the well-known author of mods like Dynavision and Predator Vision. He also co-authored the mod IMAGINATOR, which I highly recommend. iHUD allows you to customize your UI, so you can tailor it to your personal tastes, and includes several new features on top of the usual disabling/enabling of HUD elements.
iHUD requires version 1.6.16+ SKSE. It's compatible with SkyUI as of version 3.0b2, and includes an MCM (mod configuration menu).

Like a lot of gamers that frequent the Skyrim Nexus, I've used iHUD before. I decided to try out a HUD mod, since I wasn't satisfied with the default HUD. I wanted to be able to customize my UI to suit my playing style. From the amount of endorsements iHUD recieved, I figured it would be worth it to try it out. (With 20,000+ endorsements, it's one of the most endorsed mods on the Skyrim Nexus.) Besides, it's made by Gopher, who I'm a personal fan of. I love most of his mods, and have found some great mods from his Skyrim Mod Sanctuary series. Overall, it's a great mod, but I did have some difficulties with it, which is why I switched to Less Intrusive HUD II, and ultimately, to Minimal HUD.
iHUD has quite a few good features, which can be configured through its MCM if you have SkyUI. The new 3.0 version includes extra compatibility for certain HUD mods like A Matter of Time and iNeed. iHUD has:
- The ability to toggle the compass on and off with a configurable key. (Default is X)
- Customization of when the crosshair is active.
- The ability to change transparency for the health, magicka and stamina bars, as well as the compass.
- Customization of the floating quest markers in-game.
- The ability to get rid of the sneak meter, shout meter, and enemy health indicators.
- The ability to toggle on and off "fast fade" for the health, stamina and magicka bars.
There are some cons, however.
First off, there was a small bug I encountered when changing the options for the crosshair. I only wanted the crosshair to appear when I was looking at something that I could activate. After I changed the proper settings, I walked over to a bench. I looked at it, and the crosshair appeared. I looked away, and the crosshair remained there for about 5 seconds before disappearing. The issue persisted, despite me reloading the game and reinstalling iHUD. However, its other features worked admirably.
Secondly, I don't actually feel like there are as many options as there could be. When I look at iHUD's competitors (they're not really competitors, but that's how I think of them) like Less Intrusive HUD II or even less popular mods like Minimal HUD, there are a lot more options to change.
Given all that, I find it difficult to recommend iHUD over other mods like the aforementioned Less Intrusive HUD and Minimal HUD, despite its undoubtable popularity.
Do you use iHUD? What do you like about it? If not, what alternatives do you use? Have you ever encountered the flickering crosshair?
