This is just an introduction to my blogging style. If you've read my tutorials and articles for the CK, or my mod reviews, believe me. It's nothing like that. So if you care about the actual blogging part of this blog, then read on. Or not. It's really your choice. After all, isn't that what the internet is all about?
Formatting
First, I thought I would have nice formatting. Like my tutorials, with all the neat paragraphs (sometimes) and color-coded text. But then I decided to write a complete mess. At least, for me. I'm usually a very organized person, so writing without headings is actually kind of difficult for me. As you can already tell, since I've included a heading in this post.
But whatever. It'll be readable, hopefully, but probably not a string of coherent thoughts, like my tutorials or articles. Those are planned. My blog posts are just kind of... there. They happen (then again, so do most things in the world). For tutorials or articles, I'll be reading over the Skyrim Nexus Forums, seeing people complaining that their scripts aren't working, or they need help finding something.
(It really is annoying when someone titles their topic this: 'Help my script isn't working', or 'papyrus is stupid' or 'the ck is buggy' - though that last one is pretty true. Please, please learn how to title your topics. I'm kind of talking to myself here - I'm awful at this. But if you title them right, maybe more people will help you. I recognize that that sounds completely aloof and condescending, but first impressions mean a lot. They really do.)
Then I'll help a few people, maybe ask for help myself. If I'm having a problem, and I find a solution, I'll type up a tutorial here for it. Or maybe not. But I do try to share the knowledge. If it's something small, I'll put it in the Common Modding Questions (and solutions) post, but for bigger subjects I'll create a whole new post. Or if it's something that requires less of a tutorial, and more of a discussion, then I create an article.
I feel like all of my blog posts are going to leave me feeling like this - extremely confused. Mostly because I have no idea what the point of this was. Even reading through this gives me no thoughts on the original topic. It just kind of falls apart a few paragraphs ago. Right before the header, really.
I think the point is that I'll post whatever I want about Skyrim here, and discussions are welcomed. Really.
